The London Library Fantasy Football Homepage

Welcome to the official Fantasy Football Page for the Chelsea 4 Champions Football League.

On these pages you will find information about each manager, and their team; tables of statistics including weekly, and season points to date; comments from the Chairman of the league; reports that have appeared in The London Library newsletter; and many more interesting features.

Fantasy Football began in The London Library in the summer of 1997 when six likeminded members of staff spent 55 million each of their own money buying some of the elite Premier League football players to form their own teams and started a breakaway league called The Library Layabouts. Rob Atkinson became the first league champion with his team Atkinson Athletic. The league continued on to the next season under the name Cockney City Whizz with an increased amount of teams. As many of you are aware Rob won this league too, Athletico Roberto were champions. In 1999 Chelsea 4 Champions contains even more teams, can Robatko Rovers win?

Chairman's comments

ijw1@ukc.ac.ukMichael Booth is officially THE man. At somewhere around 2000th in the country he must have one of the highest position the Library League, in all of its' previous incarnations, has ever known. He has just had a significant birthday and, like a good cheese, seems to be maturing into a very capable manager. Sheffield Wednesday look to be needing a new one and could go not go much better than hiring "the Hammer" as he must now be called.

Stunning goal Michael!!!As for the rest only the experienced Atkinson is showing any sign of form. Michael Booth is not unstoppable although, as Rob himself would tell you, if he is not winning after 6 weeks then things may not go his way. Special respect has to go out to my man Stan! A dire run of form seems to have come to an end as he sets up for the challenge of his lifetime. His portering colleagues are standing by his side, all, that is, but Dixie. Perhaps his strikers are suffering from the same visual afflictions, surely that is the only way to excuse a lowly last place.

I'd like to talk a little bit now about this web-site. As you can probavbly see it has undergone a few changes, although the basic format remains the same. What I would request from you is that you click on a few of my links, check out the store front (when I repair the broken link) and have a look at a few of the other football sites on the webring (which are mostly pretty rubbish). I hope to be transfering this site to my new domain name soon, but I will let you know when. Any suggestions for improvements would be very welcome, I might even put your comment on the page for all to see. Lastly please, please inform me of any transfers or I can't figure out the points each week.

Watch the progress of all the teams closely, anything can, and will, happen before this season is over!

I. Williams
The Chairman

Rob Atkinson is my best friend!"oh...hello...this site is still being made i'm afraid. Why don't you come back another time?"
